"Emotional stress causes on unusally of type if heart disease."

Being "broken-hearted" as a result of emotional truma may be a more apposite turn of phrase than we imagined. US researchers have shown how sudden emotional stress can release hormones that stun the heart into submission, resulting in symptoms that mimic a typical  heart attack.

People suffering from stress cardiomyopathy, or "broken-heart syndrom", seem to be havinf a heart attack: they have chest pain, fluid in the lungs, shortness of breath and heart failure. But although the ability of heart to pump is singificantly reduced and the heart muscle is weakened, it is not killed, or infarcted, as in a classic attack.

The research found that initial levels of hormones called catecholamines (particularly adrenaline) in the patients with broken heart syndrom were 2 to 3 times greater than those in classic heart-attack patients, and between 7 and 34 times greater than healthy people.

From this IELTS reading, no wonder I always has chest pain and shortness of breath. My heart was deeply broken. It's strong mind-harm to contribute physical damaging.
